HOPE Placard

Why a Non-Profit?

HOPE conferences have been taking place since 1994. Over the decades, many people have written to us to say that HOPE changed their lives, made them feel less alone, introduced them to new interests, and helped establish relationships that endured.

Many of us, young and old, feel alienated by today's often cold and heartless society. We find ourselves being replaced by artificial intelligence. Kids are the victims of cyberbullying. Being a little different can make already vulnerable people feel even more alienated.

We seek to change all that and to help create an environment where people feel welcome by default and also learn a great deal in the process. This has already proven to be a great success for those who have been a part of HOPE. But it has always been a struggle for us to continue to provide these opportunities as venues disappear and costs increase.

Your donation helps to solidify our future so that HOPE can continue. Being able to hold this event in one of the busiest and most expensive cities is a monumental challenge - but it's also a tremendously valuable accomplishment. Without HOPE, there would be so many people who would miss out on opportunities to dive into new technology, make valuable connections, and get the inspiration needed to lead a happy and fulfilling life.

But it doesn't stop there. Achieving our goals opens up possibilities for new and bigger goals. We want to offer scholarships for those who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford attending. We want to ensure that attendees have hands-on access to the latest tech so they can learn by doing. Most importantly, we want to be able to offer HOPE attendees a space that will be consistent and welcoming. This is how we build a healthy future run by creative individuals who truly care about the communities they came from.
